There is something special about a coach that has already carried you through years of travel. It holds familiar comforts, favorite memories and the unmistakable feeling of home. But as life changes and design moves forward, even a well-loved coach may begin to feel ready for something new. At Marathon Coach, remodeling offers a way to preserve everything you love while giving an older coach an entirely new life.
A remodel can be as focused as new upholstery or flooring, or as transformative as a complete reimagining of the interior. Lighting, countertops, cabinetry, technology and layout can all be updated to create a space that feels fresh, personal and beautifully suited to the way you travel today. The same designers and craftspeople behind Marathon’s new coaches bring their experience to each remodel, helping owners see possibilities within a space they may have known for years.
Recent transformations at Marathon show just how dramatic those possibilities can be. A 2008 Marathon Coach received new flooring, upholstery, countertops, ceiling panels, LED lighting and audio-visual technology. Another remodel gave a 2007 coach new flooring and master suite carpeting while converting its bunks into a generous midcoach wardrobe. These were not simply updates. They changed how the coaches looked, felt and functioned for their owners.
That ability to evolve is part of what makes an older Marathon so enduring. Marathon maintains detailed information about its coaches, including original build records and electrical schematics. Even decades later, technicians can understand what lies behind the walls and approach upgrades with the knowledge and care the coach deserves.
Remodeling also creates room to dream beyond the interior. Exterior paint can be restored or completely redesigned. Storage bays can be fitted with motorized trays or outdoor cooking features. Modern televisions, sound systems, lighting and connectivity can make travel easier and more enjoyable without taking away the character that made the coach special in the first place.
An older coach does not have to belong to the past. With thoughtful design, skilled hands and a vision for what comes next, it can feel renewed from floor to ceiling and ready for years of new memories. Sometimes the coach you already love is also the perfect place to begin again
