Experience Counts: Spotlight on Marathon Coach Florida

With an average December temperature of 74 degrees Fahrenheit and a mere 30-mile drive from Tampa, Marathon Coach Florida is located in sunny San Antonio, Florida – tucked between I-75 and Dade City.

Enter the front doors to find smiling faces at every turn, from sales to service and everyone in between. Whether visiting for a remodel, maintenance, delivery, purchasing or something else, this motorcoaching haven offers seven full hook-up campsites and approximately 50 additional spots to plug in across the facility’s approximate four acres.

“I love working out of the Florida facility,” said Marathon Salesperson Kasey Hess, “or as we like to call it, ‘the headquarters of the east.’ Most people think of Marathon as a West Coast company, so they are pleasantly surprised when they find out we have a facility in Florida! We’ve got a large presence here and it is only getting bigger. In fact, I think our facility is one of the easiest to get to by coach. We are conveniently located on a large state road just off Interstate 75 – one of the main veins that runs north and south through Florida.”

Many of the Florida service technicians have been with the company for decades. “We are family, treating others how we want to be treated and working hard to be the best,” said Service Manager Joe Stefanczuk. “Our technicians take pride and respect in every coach remodel and repair that we do. We have been blessed with wonderful people who care – from the first call in with Melissa to Jamie coordinating the tasks to each technician taking pride in their work. And I, of course, want you to be happy with your experience.”

For those having more extensive work done, spending quality time with Marathon Coach Florida as a home base can be a fun adventure.

“Our small town of San Antonio is special,” said Kasey. “It offers unique restaurants and a quiet country setting that provides peaceful nights when you camp with us. The best part is the close proximity to a lot of shopping, restaurants and fun activities. You can make a trip to the beach, and/or see a professional sports game (football, baseball and hockey) or go to some theme parks (Disney/Universal/Sea World). And these are all day trips.”

Dade City Shopping
During a 2017 open house and pre-rally event, Marathon Coach Florida hosted a scavenger hunt adventure featuring some of our favorite shops in Dade City. Attendees, donned in whimsical hats, led teams through the picturesque town as clues guided them to many of the area’s finest shops, including Another Man’s Treasure, Flint Creek Outfitters, European Emporium, Angel Tea Room, Dog Mania and Cats, Quilts on Plum Lane and Lunch on Limoges.

Marathon Florida Service Manager Joe Stefanczuk likes to relax at Sand Key just over the bridge from Clearwater Beach. Of course, there are lots of other area beaches fit to explore. Clearwater Beach was named number one in the U.S. on TripAdvisor’s list of Top Beaches for 2019, 2018 and 2016, and was number four in 2017.
