Marathon Coach Texas Service Manager – Chris Lewis

Marathon was excited to name Chris Lewis, a 10-year veteran of the service industry, Texas Service Manager in December 2019.

“Chris is extremely talented, and I’m really excited about where he’s taking Marathon Coach Texas,” said Marathon Coach President and Owner Steve Schoellhorn. “To complement Chris’s leadership, we’ve continued to invest in all areas of Marathon Coach Texas, including technician training and facility upgrades.”

Chris is experienced, but what truly makes him exceptional at what he does is his dedication to serving, his embracing the big picture, his unwavering focus on providing impeccable customer service and his providing the support and tools needed for his entire team to succeed.

“My philosophy is to treat every customer as family and their coach as if it were my own,” said Chris.

Although much of his service career reflects the expected path, including beginning as a flat rate technician, working his way to senior floor technician, becoming the parts manager/service writer and more, he actually began his service journey in the fire service as a firefighter, soon progressing to driver/operator.

“I have worn many different hats in the service and repair industry since leaving the fire service after 15 years,” Chris explained.

Chris has embraced his new role, tackling all challenges that have come his way. “Everyone here believes in the principle that we are family and our customers are included in that relationship,” said Chris. “Here at Marathon Coach Texas, we have an incredible group of talented craftspeople who take great pride in their work and innovation, working as a cohesive team to achieve stellar results in your repair.”

Chris and his wife Shannon have four grown sons. Aside from his work, family and life in the Texas countryside, Chris enjoys working outside, woodworking and refereeing boys’ lacrosse in the spring.
