This Service Spotlight shines on Rob Thompson – one key Service Technician in the Marathon Coach #1143 luxury RV remodel. At Marathon, we’re known for our roles as engineers, salespeople, service technicians and more – but we’re also real people. Service Technician Rob Thompson is known for his affability, sense of humor, work ethic and expertise, and he’s been with Marathon for 6.5 years and in the industry for 20.
“I initially came here because I’ve always known that Marathon is the cream of the crop. It seemed like the place to be because there’s a lot of pride taken to engineer, build and sell Marathon’s luxury bus conversions – just look at them.”
Although highly skilled in all aspects of service/remodels, Rob’s expertise is in flooring, which is the reason he spent much of his time on Coach #1143’s remodel on just that. With the help of Wes Woodcook, Greg Kimball and others, they brightened and modernized the coach’s interior. Rich, red flooring was installed, maintaining the original warmth of the coach. The new electric dinette and the custom occasional table are as state-of-the-art and functional as any Marathon straight off the production floor.
