However, the Premier RV Resort located in Coburg, Ore. takes this idea seriously, celebrating summer with festivities and food. Tuesday brings 50 cent tacos at the Ducky Diner and an ice cream social in the afternoon. Friday features a happy hour with appetizers at the pool deck. Saturday is all about the S’mores and Sunday features coffee and donuts. Plus, they host a BBQ every holiday weekend except Labor Day – that’s reserved for the chili cook-off. Its acres of lush landscape offer two off-leash dog parks, a fully stocked pond for fishing, horseshoe pit with built-in benches, volleyball and croquet area, game room, workout center and RV wash station. And did we mention that 90 percent of their pads are pull-throughs ranging between 60-100 feet?

They’ve been so successful in creating an RV oasis that they’re preparing to expand, constructing 43 new sites and soon after a community hall with a full kitchen.

Less than a mile from Marathon headquarters, we find this park a great place to visit.
